If using chalk paint, always seal first before applying any transfer as chalk paint is extremely porous. Always ensure your paint is dry and starting to harden before applying any transfer. The full cure time of paints can take up to 21 days. Always seal our transfers with a water based sealer/topcoat before applying any other finishes such as waxes or glazes. These types of products can be petroleum based and will strip the colour from an unprotected transfer image.
